Physical Education and Forest School
PE
Children are offered a range of sporting activities both during and beyond the school day. In addition to the statutory PE curriculum, (striking and fielding, gymnastics, dance, athletics, net and ball games and swimming) pupils are offered additional opportunities through clubs and after school activities.
Each term, we use our Sports Premium to give the children different sporting and active experiences. For example, Box2befit, archery and dance workshops.
All children have a half-term of swimming lessons at the Flamingo Pool in Axminster. The children participate in a range of Intra MAT sporting competitions alongside our link schools and compete regularly against other local primary schools.

Forest School
At Membury, we are lucky to be able to use our local area to enjoy forest school sessions. The whole school has Forest School every week. The children learn a wide range of trasnferable skills helping them to become admirable citizens of the future. The older children often support the younger children using their developing communication and leadership skills.
